BioEcoSS Ltd. is an ecological systems analysis consultancy. Its ethos is that the process of undertaking ecological survey and monitoring should be an integrated whole. The tasks of devising the survey strategy, designing the field methodology, choosing the variables to be collected, laying out field forms, designing a database to hold, validate and export data, undertaking appropriate statistical analysis and, finally, writing reports and papers should not be undertaken as separate tasks. Rather, BioEcoSS encourages clients to formulate their questions and hypotheses correctly at the outset, and then guides them through this process. This prevents the waste of precious resources on survey and monitoring programs that are unable to answer their aims and objectives.
